6 tbsp sour cream5 tbsp buttermilk (hold back 1 tbsp to adjust at the end)3 tbsp good mayonnaise2 small cloves garlic, minced or grated fine½ tsp salt¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper1 tsp dried dill2 tbsp finely chopped fresh chives1½ tsp fresh lemon juiceA few dashes hot sauce (optional)80 mg THC tincture, measured exactly (e.g. 8 ml of a 10 mg/ml tincture)
Stoney says: start low, go slow — the forest isn't going anywhere. Wait 90 minutes before seconds.
Steps
- In a medium bowl, whisk the sour cream, 4 tbsp of the buttermilk and the mayonnaise together until completely smooth with no streaks — lumps here become uneven tablespoons later.
- Whisk in the garlic, salt, pepper, dill, chives, lemon juice and hot sauce if using. Taste and adjust the salt now, before the dose goes in, so you're not tasting your way through a dosed bowl.
- Everything stays cold — this dressing never sees a burner, which is why a tincture is the right tool here.
- Add the full 80 mg of tincture and whisk hard for a full minute, scraping the bowl so the dose is carried evenly through the cream and mayo.
- Measure the volume. You're aiming for exactly 240 ml / 1 cup. Whisk in the reserved buttermilk a teaspoon at a time to reach it — or if you're slightly over, hold the surplus back rather than fudging the per-tablespoon number.
- Decant into a 250 ml jar, seal, and chill at least an hour before serving. It thickens toward dip consistency in the fridge; leave it on the counter 20–30 minutes if you want it pourable, and always stir before measuring.
- Label the jar: "Infused Buttermilk Ranch — 80 mg THC total • 16 servings • 5 mg THC per 1 tbsp • made [date] • keep refrigerated, best within 3 days • 21+ only."
- Serving note: serve it with a tablespoon measure, not a pour — a salad drenched by hand is an unknown dose. One tablespoon per plate, then wait before going back for more.
